Parenthood Performer Spotlight: Christine Schiele

Christine Schiele, under various names, is a writer, performer & storyteller. She has brought her passion for the bizarre to stages at SXSW, Frontera Fest (including Best of Fest 2012 & 2015), Bedpost Confessions, Ladies Are Funny Festival, The Living Room: Storytelling For Grownups, No Shame Theatre & Weird True Hollywood Tales. Christine performs as a mentalist with magic act Turning Tricks With The Darlings.

Christine will share her story of parenting a teen in troubled times in her piece Three Deep Breaths.

Tonight Megan Lambert takes the stage to share Broken, a tale of how broken bones helped strengthen her relationships.  See you all tonight!


After leaving home in a small, southern Alabama town, Megan Lambert rode freight trains, hitchhiked, and enjoyed living outdoors for a couple of years before moving to Austin 6 years ago. She now works as a bookseller and events coordinator at BookPeople bookstore, where she also write a weekly blog titled, “weekend reading.” In her spare time, Megan volunteers for local literary/culture magazine, fields. She enjoys reading, writing poetry and narrative essays, and singing American folk songs with her guitar or banjo. She frequently finds herself contemplating her hatred for the enduring American cultural phenomenon, Lynyrd Synyrd.

Tomorrow night we treat you to a heartfelt story, Charlies Ashes, from actor-performer-writer and comedian Martha Hannah.  Doors open at 7pm, come early to grab a good seat, delicious food and cocktails!


Martha Hannah has toured and performed for over 25 years on many statewide and regional arts commissions touring rosters. She’s currently on the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster, Mid-America Arts Alliance and Writers League of Texas’ Project WISE. Martha’s an actor-performer-writer-comedian who loves to laugh and dance and looks at the world with a quirky point of view. She’s also the proud daughter of a Union dad who taught her how to box at age 6.
