Born in June 1947, Janis is a true baby boomer. She’s lived though the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s and now almost through the 10’s. Starting a career as an artist and as the registrar of the permanent collection at a major museum, then transitioning to business (along with husband Lee Wiley), she is a serial entrepreneur and committed capitalist, owning a software business for 25 years, followed by a construction company and transitioning into retirement acting as a consultant to start-up tech companies. Now a happy grandmother, she is back to museums where she started … as a volunteer at the Bullock Texas State History Museum.
Tomorrow night, Janis takes the stage to tell a story of a glimpse into the future in her story, What I Learned From Someone Else’s Vacation.
